Requesting Books, DVDs, and CDs

Current students, faculty, and staff at LSC-Montgomery can request books, DVDs, or CDs from any Lone Star College library, Harris County Public Library, or any Montgomery County Public Library through the catalog. LSC Library Catalog

When you search in the catalog, if an item is able to be requested, there should be a blue button with the words “Place Hold” on it, to the right of the item’s title. Click that button, and then log into your library account. To login to your account you will need both your library barcode number and your pin number. Your library barcode number can be found on the back of your Lone Star ID at the top. Your pin number is typically the last four digits of the phone number on your library account. If you are unable to login, please contact the service desk at 936-273-7387 or email MC-STARCenter@LoneStar.edu.

Interlibrary Loans

The library also offers an interlibrary loan service. Interlibrary loan is a service for Lone Star College System (LSCS) employees and students to receive materials, including books, DVDs, CDs, and articles not available from the LSCS libraries, Harris County Public Library (HCPL), or the Montgomery County Memorial Library System. Most interlibrary loans can take almost a month to to request, process, and receive and may charge a fee.
